The Product business module serves as the directory of all product-related information and where you can easily configure and manage your products and services records.
Desk App allows you to manage your products and services effectively to facilitate the seamless purchase and sales processes that require up-to-date product information.
On your organisation’s dashboard screen, tap on the Product icon under the Business Modules section.
If this is your first time here, you will be prompted to add a new product or service.
Desk App allows you to define the item type to be of a product (tangible) or service type (intangible).

Otherwise, you will be able to view a list of all your organisation’s existing products and services.
Tap on the plus icon to create a new product/service.

Start by uploading a Product image with the recommended image specifications.
Enter the name of your product/service, along with a description as required.

You can tag your product to a category for natural product search later.

You can indicate the initial selling price for the product/service as the price will automatically populate in the sales transaction forms. You can also edit the price in the forms if and when required.

It is essential to have a unique identifier to identify your product/service. The unique identifier is auto-generated if you wish to change it, tap in the field, and type.
If you have an initial Purchase Price to be included for the product/service, you may tap and enter the value. This price will be populated in the purchase transaction forms, whereby you can further amend the product’s price accordingly.

Use the appropriate toggle setting to select between Service (no stock tracking required) or Inventory (stock tracking required), where you can identify whether your item is a product or Service.
If you select Service, your product will be listed as a service; hence no stock tracking is required.

If you choose Inventory, your product will require stock tracking. Enter the Opening Quantity and Inventory Valuation values accordingly.
Desk App allows you to scan the barcode / QR code of your product/service to capture the barcodes tagged to your physical products successfully.

You can also tap on the Tax field to pick a tax value to be applied for your product/service during purchase/sales transactions. The tax values follow the Singapore Government’s GST statutory regulations.
Once all required fields are completed, tap on Create Product. You will be able to find your newly added Product / Service on the products/services main screen.
